Theresa Denton, Executive Director

Theresa Denton, Executive Director

Theresa Denton joined School and Tutors on Wheels in June 2011. Theresa brings many years of non-profit management and fundraising experience to School and Tutors on Wheels. Prior to joining School and Tutors on Wheels, she served as a Regional Director for ALSAC (American Lebanese Syrian Associated Charities), the fundraising organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Theresa’s background includes higher education administration, non-profit fundraising and management. Theresa holds a Master’s degree in Training and Development, with a focus on Adult Learning Theory.

Sr. Marybeth McDermott, CSJ, an educator with more than 40 years of experience, spearheaded School on Wheels for the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph. The mobile adult literacy program founded in 1993 soon expanded to include a sister program called Tutors on Wheels. Together they operate under their newly incorporated name School and Tutors on Wheels. Click Here to Read More
